Dazed Grun

Dazed and Adidas have taken up some Guerrilla gardening. We all received an invitation to participate in this but I think most people have been a bit busy working on their deadlines. Here you can see some of the entries. This one must be my favourite.

Once more, with feeling

The new show at the Photographers' Gallery are showing contemporary Columbian photography. This is a group exhibition with six different Artists. I especially liked the work from Milena Bonilla. In this show you can see the project planotransitorio where the artist has secretly sewn together torn seats on city buses and later mapped out the route in thread. But her portfolio cariies several interesting projects.

Watermans Model

This is my sketch Model for the Watermans park. The proposal involves interactive lighting since new media arts is one of Watermans focus areas in addition to that the park currently being badly lit up.

Brentford Biopsy

We have taken part in the Brentford Biopsy project through one of the mapping workshops led by Christian Nold. Previous workshops have been held with local people attempting to create a Brentford issue map. The discussion evolves around the proposed developments in the area and what Brentford really needs.

I was doing smell mapping which involves blindfold and headphones to make you pay attention to different smells and materials.

A very useful exercise for a Landcape Architect, it makes you consider construction details and and such things as the wind. Unfortunately the headphones are not 100% sound proof so the noise from the traffic is all the time apparent giving you a sense of where you are.

The sun suckers Solaris consumis are living machines. They feed from the sun and enjoy singing. The sounds they make are dependent on weather and light conditions. Read more here they are quite interesting.
